Children's Parties Private Functions Black Henna Warning |
Children's PartiesYoung children often have very sensitive skin, and sometimes henna can cause reactions. For this reason, I will not give a henna design to a child under the age of 7.
For children 7 and above, henna should be safe. However, as always, it may cause reactions for those with sensitive skin. As with adults, it takes seconds to do a quick spot-test on the back of the hand and the results will be in in minutes. Nobody left out For children under 7, or for those with sensitive skin, there is another option: glitter gels are a safer, sparkly alternative to henna that are sure to impress. Made of hypoallergenic gel and body-grade glitter, the gels are a safer alternative to henna that can be wiped off like make-up. The designs at children's parties are typically smaller, meaning that the headcount per hour is a maximum of 15 children. There is a set price of £50 per hour per artist. Each child gets a design before anyone can come back for seconds, so everyone gets a fair share. And you can personalise your party! If you have a certain theme in mind, let me know in plenty of time and I'll do my best to create a bespoke design folder for your event in addition to my standard folder. For £15, bespoke folders have a minimum of five personalised designs created exclusively with you in mind. Adult parties are limited to a maximum of ten people per hour, and the charge is £50 per hour per artist. Alternatively, if henna isn't for everyone at your party, you have the option of each guest paying individually for their design (based upon the standard prices), with a free medium design for the host. Due to the expense of ordering ingredients, and the time taken to prepare the paste and cones, there is a £40 booking fee for all private-hire events, which is non-refundable during the 14 days before the event.
